The process of making chalk can be done both by mold and machine. However, it is essential to learn how to make chalk on a small scale using moulds. Here the process of making chalk with the help of mold is being given.

With the help of a mold:-


First of all, you need to make a solution of Plaster of Paris with the help of water

Apply kerosene or any oil in the chalk mold with the help of a brush, so that the chalk does not stick to the mold and can be removed easily.

After this you need to take this solution in a mug and put it in the mould. It is necessary to put the solution in this mold and put it equally in all the holes with the help of a painting brush. It is left like this for at least 20 minutes.

If you want to make color chalk, then you need to add the required color to this Plaster of Paris solution. You can add any color you want to it.

The number of chalks you can make at once usually depends on the size of your mold. By the way, 200 to 300 chalks can be made from a medium sized mold in 15 minutes.

After this, it is necessary to take out the chalk from this mold and dry it in the sun. Once dried in the sun, the chalk made by you is ready for packing.

While making chalk, it should be kept in mind that plaster of paris should be of good quality, otherwise the chalk breaks quickly.

Note: To make 100 pieces of chalk, you need approximately 200 grams of Plaster of Paris.

Chalk can also be made easily with the help of a machine. The process of making chalk is same as that of mould.
However, there is no need to do a lot of work on making chalk with the help of a machine and chalk is made in large numbers in a very short time.
